Reilly and his aunt and his cousins (some of them).

Reilly's cousins were very excited to meet him yesterday, as was his aunt Danielle.

Reilly and Gram

Reilly is really taking a liking to Gram. Gram seems to have a way with him.

HANNAH IS THREE!

Hannah is three years old today! Happy Birthday Hannah. If you would like to call Hannah, use the "Call Me" button on the top right of the page.

Maybe Reilly will be a male cheerleader... Maybe I will not encourage that. -Daddy

Reilly is mature

So Reilly is a happy kid, but he does not know about all the fun he is missing out on the boat and in the water. He has really started to smile a lot lately, and responding to Momma's voice. He is also locking eyes when you get really close to him. Very mature things for a 6 week old to be doing.

Milk Coma revisited... Over and over again.

Meanwhile back at the ranch... Reilly is staying indoors and eating a lot. He is not allowed to get on the boat, go out on the beach in the sun, or otherwise have any fun. So we are taking pictures of him as we see him, in Momma's lap in his milk coma.

As you can most likely tell from the pictures, Hannah really liked her Drumstick ice cream cone. Good thing too, because that is all she got to eat before her nap when we got home.

Sequence of events...

Here is a sequence of Hannah taking down her ice cream cone.

When men take the kids out...

Sometimes the men are put in charge of the kids when the women are going out, and sometimes it goes all wrong, as documented here.

Hannah, Daddy, and Pop all went out for a boat ride. We decided to stop by the marina for an ice cream cone, when the carnage ensued.

One for the Books

You might remember my post from a couple weeks ago where I mentioned that Hannah puts on her own clothes in the morning. Well, we've been doing this off and on for a couple weeks and it really has worked out well. Until...Friday.

So the story goes...

As usual, Hannah called for me to come get her. I went in to get her and she tells me..."Momma, the button is in my booty".

"WHAT??????????" "WHAT BUTTON??????" "WHERE???????????"

I see a shriveled up piece of thread laying next to her cute pink outfit that I had put out for her. "Hannah, show me where you put it."

"Right here, Momma" as she points to her 'girl parts'. I took a peek in and did not see the button. I tossed the sheets around, combed through the carpet, shook out the pillow. No button.

Next move, call the doctor. "Yes, my daughter put a button in her vagina. What do I do?" We've never heard of that one, ma'am. We'll call you back. They call back and tell me to take her to the Children's Hospital ER because they don't have the equipment for "such" things.

So we go to the ER. They repeated the same things I had done..asking her where she put it. Please point to where you put it, etc. She tells them the same thing she had told me. They don't see it either after taking a look. The doctor orders an XRAY. No button. The doctor orders an ultrasound. No button. He tells us there really isn't anything else he can do. Go home. Come back if you see any signs of infection.

So I'm thinking, "Man, I just dropped $100 (not to mention 4 hours) in the ER only to not find the freaking button my child has told me she has put in her 'booty'." Lovely.

Back at the ranch, a couple hours later. Andrew quietly brings Hannah's diaper to me. "Look, Steph. Look what we found." A FREAKING WHITE BUTTON AMONGST THE POO.

I can't make this stuff up.

Can you see me now?

Bebe gave Hannah some new goggles tonight for her bath time. You do not have to look very hard to see that Frogs are once again part of Hannah's accessories, or that they do not fit her very well.

Gram is an avid University of Alabama fan, Reilly is not. Reilly gave Gram a little "Touchdown Auburn" pose during their first meeting today, and Gram is now a convert. War Eagle Gram!

Gram got to meet her first Great-Grandson today. Reilly enjoyed meeting Gram, and is looking forward to seeing her a little more this week.

Yea, she is that advanced.

So advanced that she is driving the boat, in her own mind.

Hannah had to wear her real life jacket today out on the boat. She likes the crab on the life jacket, but when she saw some real crabs in a trap today, she was a bit scared of them.

Frogger!

Hannah got a new pool float to protect her from her daredevil ways. Because Hannah's school class mascot was the "Friendly Frog" we went with the obvious choice.

Be prepared!

Details are sketchy at the moment (intentionally)... However be prepared for an onslaught of pictures in the coming week(s). Hannah's birthday is July 1st, and Reilly is excited about attending his big sister's birthday. He is so mature for his age.

Milk Coma

Pretty much every time I feed him, this is what I get to look at when he's full. I'm the luckiest Mom in the world!

First Smile

He started smiling more this week---the non-gas kind! Here's the first one we captured on camera!

Boobies

I braved going to Target with Hannah & Reilly today. I was in the return line, when Hannah struck up a conversation with another Mom.

Hannah - "My Mommy has boobies."
Other Mom - "Oh, Yeah?"
Hannah - "Do you have boobies?"
Other Mom - "Yes."
Hannah - "I don't have boobies."
Other Mom (with a chuckle) - "You will one day."
Hannah - "Yeah. One day."
Target cashier - "I'll take the next in line."

Shew! Let the embarassing moments begin.

Reilly 1 Month Update

10 lbs. 5 oz.
21.25" tall

Big Boy!

Reilly update:

Reilly is going very well lately, even if Hannah is trying her best to be the center of attention. Reilly is working on his neck control, as you can see here. He is also doing well at night, typically waking up once around 5AM. He is eating very well, and he has a doctor appointment today, so we will get a new weight on him soon.

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day (a day late). I am so blessed to have such a loving and compassionate father for my children. He is SO good with them. I couldn't ask for a better partner in this journey called parenthood! I love you, Andrew!

Little Bit

Little Bit ain't so little!

Sibling Love

Hannah has her sweet moments with Reilly and some "not so sweet" moments! Here are some of the sweet ones. We try not to capture the "not so sweet" ones.

G & Pop

Thank you to G & Pop for coming to visit us this weekend! We had a good time with you guys. Here's a quick picture we took as they were leaving. Reilly is busy studying how to whistle like Pop!

Call Webster!

We have some new words compliments of Hannah:

"Hansitizer" (Hand Sanitizer)
"Placemat" (Play Mat - really placemat makes more sense for an infant since the infant doesn't move!)
"Burrin" (instead of saying that she's cold, she says she's burrin')

When we decided to have children, we never dreamed they would be so entertaining. We knew we'd be teaching them things daily, minute by minute. What we didn't know is that they'd be teaching us too!

Reilly Sleeping

Reilly doing what he does best - sleeping!

Keeping Cool

Hannah was playing on the deck the other day. I went to check on her and this is what I found!

We Can Sleep!

Reilly is finally back to his birth weight - 9 lbs 8 oz ! WooHoo! We don't have to wake him up anymore to feed him at night! Although, now he's probably programmed to wake up at 3am, but I'd rather him wake up on his own than us waking a sleeping baby!

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!

Complaint Bucket

We apologize for the inconvenience to our "fan club" for not posting any new pictures this week. We were winging it without BB and it was not top of priority to post pictures. Feel free to post comments with your disapproval. I'll forward them to management!

So here's a little story until we post more pictures:

On Sunday, Hannah tells me "Momma, I'm ready to go to school now. I don't want to be in the house anymore". [

So Hannah started camp this morning (at the same school she goes to during the school year). I went in her room to get her dressed this morning. I found her completely dressed (in the outfit I put out for her). She says, "Momma, I'm ready to go to school".

Awesome. I love that she's becoming more self sufficient.

Hannah enjoys playing with Reilly while he is hanging out on the mat.

Unlike Hannah, Reilly will still hang out with Daddy on the couch. Basically, he will sleep anywhere. He is doing very well sleeping through the nights, averaging about 7 hour at a stretch! Reilly is currently at the doctor, and will get an update on his vital stats this afternoon.

Reilly is getting used to spreading out and laying (or is it lying?) on his mat, but he is not fond of being on his tummy.

One lazy day, Stephanie, Reilly, and Hannah were all asleep and Daddy was left to watch TV all by himself. That was a quite rare occasion.

Hannah especially enjoyed spending time with Bebe this time around. Hannah is looking forward to seeing her again is just 4 short weeks.

Good-Bye to Bebe

If you cannot tell, Reilly was very disappointed to have Bebe walk out the door and head back to her home and her life. We very much appreciated Bebe's time and efforts helping Stephanie, Andrew, and Hannah cope with the arrival of Reilly. Papa is surely happy to get his bride back to his house. It was almost 3 years ago Bebe did the same thing to help with Hannah. Looks like she will have to come back in another 3 years.

Management has a real job, you know...

There has been some chatter about more/new pictures on the website, but management does have a real job. Management will do it's best to work on getting something new up today during management's lunch break. Come back a little later today to check it out...
