Reilly did reasonably well during the ceremony, he did cry a few times, but he was cute when he did.

Reilly seemed like he was going to behave prior to the baptism, however things changed quickly.

Daddy got to hold Reilly a little bit, despite having both grandmothers at the baptism. I real feat.

Hannah and her cousins quickly found the baptism pool and tested their limits. During the whole ceremony, fear that the kids would fall in the pool was rampant.

This past weekend was Reilly's baptism. Reilly had a great time with his cousins and G, and lots of other family. G was proud to let Reilly wear the same "gown" that Daddy wore some 32 years ago. The "gown" was made from material from G's wedding dress, so there was plenty of history behind the "gown". As all men know, "gown" is just another name for a dress, but Daddy had little say in the matter.

G made all of the dresses that the girls are wearing in this picture.

Reilly's Catholic!

Reilly was baptized this weekend! Here's a couple teaser pictures until we can post more.

Candelabra

I love my husband more than anything in the world. One of the traits I love most about him is his sense of humor. Sometimes he makes me laugh...about silly things. Sometimes he makes me laugh at myself. Sometimes he makes me laugh at him. In his world... this is how these words are pronounced.

DKNY = "dinky"
Bagel - "beg-UL"
Pique - "plick"

newly added today -
candelabra - "can-DEL-uh-BRA"

War Eagle!

This picture was actually taken last weekend. Mommy & the munchkins didn't make it to the game this week, so Reilly wanted me to tell you that he was there in spirit!

6 Most Interesting Quirks

This one is for Adrienne... because she so graciously tagged me to blog about my 6 most interesting quirks.

1. I don't wear pajamas more than 1 night. (I though everybody did this, but apparently not.)

2. My pinkie knuckles are invisible when I make a fist. My piano teacher was always amazed I could reach the keys!. I know, I'm a freak.

3. I've been known to vacuum at strange hours of the night.

4. I have blonde moments frequently (no offense, Adrienne!).
Examples

*I asked Andrew, while in the drive up ATM, if he had any cash.

*I once melted my eyelashes together by opening the oven door with my head too close. I freaked because I couldn't see!

*I once was at the drive up at Chick Fil A screaming for them to take my order. Yeah.. it was Sunday. Nobody was there.

The list goes on...

5. The pillows go back on the bed in the same exact spot. No straying from this.

6. I can't stand it when people mispronounce the word "specifically" as "pacifically". GRRR.

I tag Ali, Kat, Candice, and Jillian. They're all losers and don't have blogs...so I'll post them if I get 'em.

Racecar Driver Reilly

Although Reilly does NOT watch NASCAR, he has somehow picked up on how to pretend to drive a car. Watch This!

First and Last

Here's Reilly hamming it up in his bouncy seat. This outfit was his fathers when he was a baby. This is the first time he's worn it... and probably the last. It's a little snug! Daddy was a MUCH smaller baby than Reilly (aka Beowulf).

On the Computer

Momma, I'm checkin' my email!

Spirit Back On!

Hannah returns to school next week (YEAH!). Last night, I went to the parent orientation and got all of her goodies, including her new "spirit shirt". This morning was "sneak a peak" where Hannah got to meet her new teacher. Before we left this morning, she saw her new spirit shirt on the kitchen table. She grabbed her tshirt as we were going to get in the car. Here's the conversation:

Momma - "Hannah, you don't need your spirit shirt today"
Hannah - "Momma, it might be spirit day."
Momma - "No, it's not spirit day".
Hannah - "Well, I need to ask my teacher. I'll bring it just in case."
Mommma - "Ok."

She apparently has been scarred for life after the last "spirit day" incident.

Lulu the Monkey

You might remember Lulu the monkey post about 4 months ago. Well, Lulu (sponsored by Lulu's restaurant in Orange Beach) has a promo video on YouTube. Hannah & Reilly's cousins Brooke & Shane appeared in the promo video. They're about 39 seconds into the video. They're famous!!

Hannah took down some of G's birthday cake!

We want to thank G and Pop for inviting us and the rest of the family to the beach for a great weekend. It is rare for the whole family to get together (minus Keith - we missed you there). We will be thinking of G on her real birthday, during the Auburn season opener on August 30th.

While at the beach, Pop threw a small surprise party for G's birthday (real birthday is August 30th). Hannah, not wanted to be left out, made sure she was right in the middle of the action.

Curran is growing up fast. Curran let me take this picture, in return, she wanted to use my camera. I did not feel really good about the idea, however Curran took some good pictures with my camera. - Daddy

Hannah and Reilly really enjoyed spending time with their cousins, Shane and Brooke. They do not get down to G and Pop's house very often, but we were able to travel down and see them when they came down this year.

Hannah's Godfather "God-Shane" was teaching Hannah how to use a high powered camera, but little did he realize, Hannah is an old pro with a Nikon camera. However, she did try to sneak a slip of his beer, since he was tempting her with it.

Eventually, we were able to cheer up and get a good one!

This is really hard boring work.

So the photo-shoot was going a bit slow, Hannah would not sit with her cousins for the picture, and everyone seemed to be tired of the pictures. It is rare that you capture every child in the picture looking unhappy.

The whole gang

At the beach we attempted to get all the grandchildren together for a picture with G and Pop. It is not easy getting this many kids to look in the general direction of the camera at one time. Hannah seemed to think the picture was a big surprise.

Reilly meets his aunt Robyn

Reilly met his Aunt Robyn last weekend at the beach. Robyn live near Philadelphia, and Reilly has not yet made it up there, so Robyn came to met Reilly at G and Pop's house.

The Carnival

So this past weekend, we braved the "carnival". You know the kind that is so carefully erected in a random parking lot out of about 3 18 wheelers by some very classy individuals. You know what I'm talking about. Usually, I am very skeptical (and somewhat of a party pooper) when it comes to "activities" as such. Well, I pretended not to care.

I'm glad I did. Hannah had an absolute blast. She rode the ferris wheel, the airplanes, the tilt a whirl bears, the carousel, the teacups and this little train that went in circles. Reilly chilled out in the stroller amazed at what must have gone into the building of such grandiose rides.

Some Randoms

I apologize if any of these are duplicates. I converted several pictures to black & white today and these are some of my favorites of Reilly.

Know Your States

As most of you know, Hannah's vocabulary is very "advanced". This week we started working with her on the states. I never thought about it, but most of the state names are mouth-fulls. So, we practice saying them all and Hannah nails pretty much all of them. New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Massachusettes, Colorado, Washington, Oklahoma, Alabama, Rhode Island... You get the picture. After running out of states to get Hannah to say, she looks at Daddy and says "Is that all you got, Daddy?".

We cracked up. I guess we should start working on state capitals!

Not HER again!

Daddy, I thought this was my time with you. Do you have to hold HER at the same time?

-Reilly

Help! I'm Sinking!

Today, Reilly decided he didn't want to be in the bouncy seat. He didn't want to be in the swing. He didn't want to be on his mat. All that would appease him was for me to hold him. Well, I just can't hold him all day long (as much as I would love to!). So, I drug out the exersaucer/jumpy thing out of the basement. He looked so lost in that thing. He barely could touch the ground. He lasted only about 10 minutes in it (longer than the other "stations"). Hannah thought it was hilarious!

Do you see any pictures out of place. How about the party guest blowing out Hannah's candles? I love the expression you can see forming on Hannah's face when that happened. In the end, re-lighting the candles and blowing them out again was enough to make Hannah happy. It was a great party for Hannah, maybe the first one she will really remember when she gets older.

The next event at the party was make your own pizza, with the 3 year olds at the controls. They sprayed pizza sauce onto bagels, put pepperoni on it, and placed cheese on top. Momma baked them and served them up to the kids. These pizzas were the perfect food for the kids. I can say that now, because no pizza sauce hit my leather couches. I feel really good about that. -Daddy

Hannah's boyfriend Evan got into the action with his puppet.
