a Yummy Baptism

2 days after Sullivan's baptism, Reilly saw a picture of when he was baptized. He said, "Sissy, is that a picture from when Sullivan was 'appetized'?!!

That kid cracks me up!

Starter Pets

Last week we were getting ready for our trip to the beach and I told Hannah that I needed her to be a really good girl and a good helper in the car with the boys. She had been wanting a fish for quite some time and so I broke down and promised that she'd get a fish if she was really good. [subplot - Hannah's idol, Candice, had just asked me what she could get her for her birthday and I told her the only thing she hadn't gotten and really wanted was a fish. Not really thinking through the logistics of getting a fish home from Mobile. ]

So after promising Hannah that her good behavior might result in a fish, she looked at me with her big green eyes and said "Yeah, I've been thinking about that fish. And I think I'd rather have a horse."

I just about fell out of my seat. I told her that a horse really wasn't a good "starter" pet. She quickly said, well then what about a hamster. Yep, Mommy doesn't do rodents either.

Rainbow, Hannah's new fish, is fitting in quite nicely to our little family.

Water Please

We were leaving a restaurant a couple weeks ago and Reilly asked for a cup of water. I told him that we really didn't need any more water before we got home. Without hesitation he says, "well, den I'wwa just take a milkshake."

Hmmm...

This past weekend we baptized Sullivan. (pictures to follow). During the Mass, the priest was speaking symbolically when he said "I am God and I am Here" in these troubled times when people are asking where God is. Ok... so most of the audience picked up on this symbolism. Not Reilly. While the priest was giving out the chalices to the Eucharistic Ministers Reilly said "Hmmm. What's God doing?" I started laughing hysterically. I knew exactly what he meant... I mean the priest DID just say HE was God!

Birthday Party - Part 1

Reilly & Charlie could be brothers they're so stinkin' cute!

Cecilia & Hannah with the sign the Nicholas Cousins made!

Curran sporting her cast! Thank goodness she's gotten it off now and can enjoy the rest of the summer cast-free!

Mary Keenan looking like a flower child :)

I can't explain this one of Mackie??

Brooke posing.

Hannah ready to dig into some cupcakes!

who wouldn't want to play in dish bubbles at the beach?

Hannah in the original birthday hat. I think she'll be wearing that thing til she's old and gray!

Argghh.

While we were at the beach, we celebrated Hannah's Birthday - Part 1! Here are a couple pictures from the Pirate & Princess Breakfast on her actual birthday - July 1st!

Sullivan is still here!

Sullivan can sleep just about anywhere.

G really knows how to pound babies to sleep!

awake talking to Pop!

So we were asked today if we sold Sullivan to the gypsies because we haven't posted any of him lately. Oops! Poor 3rd kid! Here are a couple of just Sullivan. He's now 12 weeks old and has a really cute personality. He loves to watch his big brother & sister. He smiles when smiled at. He's laughing and cooing more and more each day. He is a laid back baby and pretty much only cries when he wants to eat. Although today he cried in Target and he was completely happy with being up on my shoulder checking out his surroundings. Made for a little bit more difficult of a trip to Target, but at least he wasn't screaming!

Let's Go Fly a Kite

Papa took the kids to the big beach to fly a kite! I'm not sure if the kids or Papa had more fun!

They love their Papa!

Mr. Bigeye Fishy

Daddy went out on the annual fishing trip that Papa has. The kids and Mommy went to the dock to see all the fish that they brought in. Here's Reilly holding the bigeye snapper that Daddy caught. Daddy caught a lot more fish than just this little guy, but he was the best candidate for the kids to hold!

Hannah's turn!

Ahhhhh!!!!

We just returned from a week at the beach! As always, we had a great time with friends and family. While we were there, we celebrated Hannah's 6th birthday! For a birthday treat, we went on a family trip to the Ferris Wheel! This picture makes me laugh!

2 peas in a pod

I just found this picture of Hannah and Reilly during Reilly's first bike ride. It struck me how much they look like each other when they are wearing their helmets.

Reilly's new bike

Reilly got a new bike from a friend (read- hand-me-down)... He was very excited as you can see. You can also see he is becoming a big boy. Hannah was mothering him as he was riding for the first time. She was helping him turn around and honking his horn every chance she could get.

Reilly eating (mostly) an ice cream cone

When Hannah was 3, Pop and Daddy took her to the Orange Beach Marina to have some ice cream. The result was a great picture and a tremendous mess... So Pop and Daddy decided to recreate the moment with Reilly this year, since he is almost exactly the same age as Hannah was that day. Here are the results...

Hannah the soccer player!

Here is Hannah's team picture from soccer this year. The date was 01-23-2011, so yea, I am behind on getting things posted to the website. -Daddy

Catching up...

It's father day and Daddy is trying to catch up with all the stuff on my desk, pictures from vacation, etc. I will try to post some pictures this week.

Hannah and Reilly camera time...

Hannah and Reilly got in front of the camera too. Stephanie suggested they rub noses and it turned out to be a great picture of them.

Sullivan poses under the studio lights, and loves it!

Sullivan got the studio photography treatment yesterday, and it was his favorite thing ever. This is the only picture where he was crying, no really, he was an angel. OK, not really, but I think the crying pictures are the best ones anyway. This is not the best picture from his sitting, but I do think it is a cute one. -Daddy

Sullivan - 1 month Stats

Weight - 10 lbs 8 oz (64 percentile)
Height - 21.5" (42 percentile)
Head - 39.3cm (67 percentile)

Sullivan is blending right into our new family of 5. He is a pretty laid back little guy. He cries when he's hungry, has a dirty diaper, or is tired. He is waking once at night and eating like a champ during the day.

3 Year Stats - Reilly

35 Lbs (80th percentile)
37" (30th percentile)

Reilly is a happy, healthy little boy. He makes us laugh every single day. He loves playing with trains, trucks, and balls. He is ALL boy. He is a sweet little thing with a wild streak at times. He keeps us on our toes.

Lately, he has been speaking VERY loud. At first, I thought he was just trying to be heard over his sister and baby brother. Lately, he seemed to be getting louder and louder. Yesterday I asked the doctor to check his hearing. After the hearing test, they said he has poor hearing in his left ear and referred us to an ENT/Audiologist. Our appointment is next week, so hopefully we can get to the bottom of what's going on with our little guy.

Hannah loves her new brother...

... and loves to hold him too. Hannah and Reilly helped put him to sleep today when Mom was busy. They are big helpers for us... at times.
Great pictures Mom!

More gifts

Here are more of his gifts... Notice how Hannah is hovering over him waiting for a chance to steal the new toy out from under him, like a dog under the dinner table? It might not bother Reilly all that much, but it drives Daddy crazy.
