Disney Trip

For Christmas, BB & Papa gave the older 2 kids a trip to Disney World.  They told the kids that it would be up to their parents as to when they would get to go.  Andrew and I decided it would be best to go during the school year to avoid some of the crowds.  We also decided it would be more fun to not tell the kids until we were actually going.  So last week we loaded them all up to head to the happiest place on earth!  They were so VERY excited!

Day 1 - Epcot

it was appropriate that Mickey was the first character we met!

then Pluto (named PluDog by Reilly)

then Minnie Mouse!

then Duffy the Bear (Mickey Mouse's bear)

Day 2 - Magic Kingdom
They rode all kinds of rides (Speedway, Dumbo, Goofy's Barnstormer, Its a Small World, Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain Railroad, Peter Pan's Flight, Buzz Lightyear ride, People Mover, Aladdin's Magic Carpet).  We went to Cinderella's Royal Table for lunch where we met Cinderella, Snow White, Ariel, Jasmine, and Aurora. Later that night we went to the Electric Parade, then Disney turns the castle into a projection screen and does a really cool presentation.

So excited to be riding the Speedway (formerly Grand Prix from when I was a kid)

Dumbo!

Mom loves Dumbo too!

Lunch with the Princesses!

Every character they met signed their autograph book.

Snow White!

our little Prince

Aurora!

Ariel (she had the most personality!)

Jasmine

Buzz Lightyear, Space Ranger!

pooped out after a full day of the Magic Kingdom

Day 3 - Animal Kingdom

Day 4 - Hollywood Studios
Again, we met all sorts of characters.  We rode Star Tours, the Great Movie Ride, saw a couple shows: Disney Junior show, Indiana Jones stunt show, Hannah & Andrew rode the Rock N Roller coaster.  Mom wouldn't ride it because it goes upside down.  Saw a parade.  That night we had dinner at Mama Melrose's to celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary!

Jake!

Handy Manny!

Lighning McQueen! (Reilly was bummed he didn't sign his book.  Ha!)

Mater!

Phineas & Ferb

trading pins with cast members was so much fun!

Day 5 - Magic Kingdom round 2
we rode a lot of the same rides from day 1 at the Magic Kingdom PLUS:  The Little Mermaid ride, the Winnie the Pooh ride, saw the Country Bear Jamboree.  For dinner we rode the monorail over to the Contemporary Resort to have dinner with Mickey and the gang.  So.much.fun!  After dinner, we went back inside the park to see the parade and light show again.  We concluded the trip with a most spectacular fireworks show in front of the castle.  Such a magical place.

Christmas morning 2012

The kids had another great Christmas! Here is the crew heading down to check out what Santa left them. Everyone was very happy with what Santa left, but the biggest hit was the tent that he left for Sullivan. That kept all the kids entertained the whole day.

Reilly is sick, not tired.

Reilly is sick today and missed the Halloween carnival in our
neighborhood. He was not too upset, but tried so hard to stay awake
for his mother and sister to come home and bring him candy. Eventually
he asked that I come sit with him and it was all over after that.
As I sit here with Reilly on my lap and watch Sullivan run around, I
just hope Sullivan doesn't get into anything and make me wake Reilly.

Hope you feel better tomorrow big guy!

G and Pop- Soccer and Pumpkin fans

G and Pop rode into town on their white horse in their white Camry to see Hannah and Reilly play in their soccer games, then they came to the pumpkin patch with us.  We all had a great time with them and were sorry to see them go.  We hope to get to see them at Thanksgiving!

At the pumpkin patch!

We had our annual trip to the pumpkin patch this year.  As always the kids had a great time, even if they didn't pose well for the pictures.  Here are some of the best pictures from the trip to the patch!

Hannah's soccer season

Hannah has been playing soccer on an all girls team this year, it is the first season where the girls and boys are separated.  She has been playing very well, and has shown a lot of improvement over the course of the season.  She almost did play this season because she said she didn't like to play.  When Mom asked why she didn't like to play, Mom had to really questions her to answer.  Mom finally got to the bottom of the problem...  Hannah didn't like the socks she had to wear last season.  Wow, to think, the world would not have known Hannah's soccer skills if Mom had not figured out the sock issue.

Hannah fights for the ball.  Some girls in this league will elbow and push you out of the way to get to the ball, but it is not in a mean way.  The refs do not yet call any penalties for fighting for the ball.
Hannah is ready to chase down the kick-off.
The ref was clearly incorrect on the call.
At this level they do not have a goalie, so the girls take turns playing fullback.  Hannah has gotten pretty good at fullback, but the league/coaches try to rotate the players into all of the positions.
Hannah's pigtails fly all over the place during the games.
Hannah's team is fully of really great girls. Lilly's (Second from the left) brother plays on Reilly's team.

Reilly's soccer season

Reilly played on his first soccer team this season.  He really enjoyed it, but he will need to work on it a bit.  He knows that he needs to run after the ball, but when he gets there he watches the other players kick it and score on Reilly's goal.
Reilly and his first soccer team!
Reilly with his "Yo Adrienne" face (from the movie Rocky for those of you too young to remember).
Look at that form!  He probably should celebrate before he scores.
"These 15 minute quarters are killing me."  It is funny to watch the kids at this age play their games.  It is hard to tell if they like playing in the game or sitting on the sideline more.

The Skeleton, Old Man, The Good Vampire- Halloween 2012

The Skeleton, Old Man, The Good Vampire.  They are awesome kids and love each other very much.  We can't say enough about them.  They are very excited about Halloween next week. - Daddy

Sullivan The Old Man

Here is one more of Sullivan.  He is quite the character lately. He is also quite the ladies man, old ladies that is.

Who is ready for Halloween?

Sullivan, Reilly, and Hannah are ready for Halloween, are you?  This Little Old Man is ready, that is pretty obvious. -Daddy

Sullivan 18 month stats

Weight - 23 lbs 6 oz. (17%)
Height - 31 inches (15%)
Head - 48.5 cm (70%)

Sullivan is continuing to grow--slowly but surely.  He is still turned around backward in his bucket seat.  I think this is the longest any of them have stayed backward-- in a bucket seat no less! The good news he's backwards facing his brother and sister so they keep him entertained. He is a happy little fella as long as he gets his way.  He wants to walk E-V-E-R-Y-W-H-E-R-E!  He thinks he's as big as his siblings.  He is still allergic to milk and eggs which is a pain!  On top of that he's a picky eater.  I continue to try new things with him.  As with the other ones I have faith that he will come around to eat more of a variety of foods.  He's a very verbal child.  Words:

SheeShee - sissy
I-E - Reilly
Ma (in a New Jersey accent) - Mom
Ma - More (this one gets confusing)
Dad - Dad
Buck-Ulll - Buckle
Tuuuuucck - Stuck (he uses this for everything - when he can't do what he wants to do)
Muck - Milk
Eat - Eat
Baw - Ball
Bobbies - Poopies
Cheeeese - Please
 BB - baby
BB - BB
Boppa - Papa
G - G
Bop - Pop
