Diaper Genie

So the other morning Daddy got up with Hannah. Like we do EVERY morning, we give her kisses and tell her we need to change her diaper. Hannah told Daddy that she didn't need to change her diaper. Daddy insisted that we DO need to change your diaper after you've been sleeping in it all night. So, Daddy changed the diaper thinking it actually was a little dry for having slept in it all night.

Fast forward to nap time. Daddy puts Hannah down for a nap when he notices a diaper... soggy... in Hannah's bed. We figured out that Hannah had taken off her soggy wet diaper and PUT BACK ON a dry diaper that her babydoll had been wearing.

Note to self: #1 Work harder at potty training Hannah. #2 Train Hannah to change real baby's diapers!

Our Apologies

We apologize for not posting pictures lately. Momma's had the flu and Daddy's been SuperDad! Although we don't have a picture of it, something rather funny did happen today.

First, some background: For the past week, Hannah has slept in her "big girl bed". As a threat to her, we left the crib up just in case we ran into any "issues". She's done pretty well converting to the bed, so we had full intentions of taking down the crib today.

So at nap time today, Momma heard Hannah talking through the monitor. Her voice slowly got further and further away. Momma ran in to make sure she was okay. She was standing on the side of her bed trying to touch her butterflies that are suspended from the ceiling. YIKES. THEN, Momma noticed that Lola (the cow that swings in her room about 2 feet from the ceiling) was IN HER BED. Momma said, "Hannah, how did Lola get in your bed?". Hannah promptly said "Oh, I climb in my crib and I got her down".

Note to self: Take the crib out. Tie Hannah to her big girl bed.

Winter Storm 2008

In a rare week of weather, we had 2 (yep, that's right), 2 snow "storms". We use the term storm loosely only because that's what the local news was calling it. Here are some pictures from the first snow of the week. Management hasn't processed the other pictures from snowstorm #2 where Hannah went snow sledding!

In the meantime, check out our gigantic snowman!

Go Tubas, Go Tubas, Go Tubas Go!

We made plans with 11 of our friends and family to go to the 40th annual Chick Fil A Bowl in Atlanta for New Year's Eve. We were super excited about the game, until we got to the game only to find out that the AU band was RIGHT in front of us. Yep, that's right, for the whole game we were able to see reflections of ourselves in the tubas. It became the joke of the evening.

Who can tell us what's wrong with this picture?

"Professional" Santa Pic

The "professional" Santa picture came in the mail today. We were pleased especially since they wouldn't let us preview it at the mall.

Hugs from Santa

Hannah met with Santa today to tell him what she wants for Christmas. Santa didn't seem to have a problem with what she asked for! Santa hugged Hannah (because she was the best kid of the day)!

Our Little Musician

So, recently Hannah has been filling our house with her lovely singing voice. I was listening to her on the monitor the other day sing the Auburn Fight Song. Her version goes something like this: "War Eagle fly down the field... NEVER conquer" [long pause] "Go GO GO!!" "Yeah Auburn" {we're trying to convert NEVER to EVER, but we're having trouble with our n's!}

In other news, The Itsy Bitsy Spider has some new lyrics. It goes like this: "The itsy bitsy spider climbed up the world so high like a diamond in the sky." I don't know about you, but I like this much better than the original.

We'll try to capture our little musician in action so you can hear it. You'll laugh all day!

It is very hard to see, but if you look to Hannah's right, you can see her normal shoes. Hannah's skates a slightly oversized.

Ice Skating

I just realized we never put pictures up of Hannah ice skating in all places, Lower Alabama! She did really well ice skating, with the help of her Daddy. After about an hour, she said "I want to take my ice skating off"!

More of Hannah feeding the gulls.

The story of this trip to the beach was Hannah feeding the sea gulls. Hannah got hungry and wanted to eat a snack. We had a bag of gold fish, but instead of eating them herself, she feed all of them to the sea gulls. She had a great time throwing the gold fish, although she generally did not throw them far enough for the gulls to get them.

Pregnancy Update

Momma has been doing very well through this pregnancy. The counter on the top right hand side of the page counts down to the due date.

Daddy and Hannah.

Sometimes it is easier to get Hannah to pose for a funny picture, than sit still for a quality family picture. This was one of those times.

The first thing I think of when I see this picture is "Touchdown Auburn!", but on this day it was "Ta Dah!" She learned how to perform Ta Dah! in dance class.

I am not sure why, but Momma encouraged Hannah to dig in the sand. She loves to play in the sand, and eat some too!

Hannah might look cold in this shot, but... Well she might be.

Hannah really wanted to get in the water today, but we explained to her that it is much too cold for us to get in. She still wanted to get in, but held back.

As the regular readers will recall, I like to occasionally remind the reader how small Hannah really is... You can see that in the picture, but you can also see how advanced she is too.

You can see Hannah's new red hair bow. Thanks for the new bow BeBe.

Every once in a while, Hannah would check to see if we were still following her. The boardwalk to about 1/4 mile, and Hannah ran just about the whole way out.

A day at the beach

Hannah spent some time on the beach today! Hannah, her mother, father, and photographer (all three of us) went back to Alabama Point to get some beach shots with Hannah again. The following are from her photo session.

Hannah was excited all morning about heading out to the beach, despite the somewhat cold weather. Hannah got ahead of her entourage on the boardwalk to the point.
