Dirty Old Men
Week 2 is in the books, but Hannah and Reilly didn't see it all.
Hannah and Reilly went to their second Auburn game of the year. The first week they were perfect. This second week of the season, they were good, but got a little sleepy during the game... Here is the proof. -Daddy

Our Little Helper
Take a close look at the picture below and see if you can find something that SHOULD NOT be here.
Yep, that's right we found the tv remote control in the dishwasher. You're probably saying to yourself, good thing they found it before it was washed. Nope, we did not. I guess Reilly just wanted to watch some "clean" TV! Good thing we have a spare!!

End of Summer
Our town has an "End of Summer" celebration. It is a lot of fun with jump houses, cotton candy, sno cones, a band, and ends with fireworks. We got REALLY good naps yesterday so we packed 'em up to go to the festivities.
Somber Reilly...about to eye the huge blow up slide...
We decided he couldn't go by himself...so his most "awesomest" Daddy went with him.
Reilly peeks his head out. (note how the slide is tilting. I think Daddy exceeded the weight limit!!)
Reilly is tossed head first down the slide.
Here comes Daddy and Reilly...in one piece!!
Reilly got to go in this "jumpy house" by himself. I was excited that he wasn't completely trampled!
Ready for the fireworks!!
Auburn v LaTech
Elizabeth and Hannah had a great time at the Auburn game. I give them both an A+ for behavior...especially considering the game wasn't over until close to 11 EST. Whoa that's late for these girls!!
Trying to get a glimpse of Aubie. Hannah was promised the Connect 4 game if she would let Aubie hold her. (she is terrified of masked characters) We never found him on campus Saturday. Look for pictures next week as that will be our ultimate goal!!
(*note, we bought Connect 4 today for Hannah for staying dry at night for 3 nights in a row. I'm sure there will be another bribe set if she lets Aubie hold her this weekend)
So excited to be at Jordan-Hare stadium!!
Reilly, aka "Pudge" ate his way through the Auburn game. I give him an A+ also for behavior!!

And that was it...
That was the end of the photo session. Hannah and Reilly did very well at the game, despite a game start time around bedtime. Reilly did not really get tired during the game, and refused to even consider going to sleep. Hannah got tired in the last 5 minutes of the game (close to 4 hours after he bedtime). They both slept the whole way home, without any crying or whining. Based on that, maybe they can both go again next week, with the same late start time. -Daddy
Reilly's forgotten tricks
For quite some time now, Reilly has been working on his Auburn tricks. Most of them can been seen in his videos on this site, but yesterday, the first day of the football season, he forgot them all. Or he just refused to do them. Here, he refused to do "Touchdown Auburn". Maybe he thought we would not score any touchdowns, but little did he know we would crush LA TECH!
When they look back...

Inquisitive Hannah
H: "So when I was in your tummy Momma, what did you eat?"
M: "Same kind of stuff I eat now; chicken, vegetables, sandwiches..."
H: "Oh."
M: (just out of curiousity for what her answer would be) "So do you remember being in Momma's tummy?"
H: "Well, yeah." (in a tone as if it was a stupid question for me to ask)
M: "What was it like in there?"
H: "Well, it was pretty dark."
So I guess she passed the quiz. Just curious for what her answers would be!

Big Foot
Reilly started really walking last week. Since then, he barely crawls. We bought his first pair of shoes today. SIZE 6. Hannah wore a size 6 last year. And yep, she's 4.

Beach Pictures
Beautiful sunset on the beach!
The cutest kids in the world. (I'm not biased!)
Daddy took Hannah on a spin on Uncle Keith's sea doo. She had a blast!
When I grow up, I want to be just like Brooke!
Ok, give me your serious pose!
Now, give me your silly face!
Nothin like popsicles from the ice cream truck...I mean boat!
Cousins...biggest to smallest!
We love our G & Pop!

Girl After My Own Heart
Momma - "Hannah, aren't you so excited about having Mrs. T as your teacher this year?"
Hannah - "Yeah, Momma, but what are we going to have for snack?"
That's my girl...always lookin' for the next meal!

Thinking of the family...

Stephanie, Hannah, and Reilly are in the minivan driving home from the beach. Daddy had to work this week, and flew home ahead of the family. Reilly has not been the best boy rider on this trip. He knows what he wants, but can't talk yet, so he just wines about it. I love my wife!
We will have some excellent pictures from the beach to post this week!

Water Rocket!
Yesterday, I thought it would be fun to bring home a water rocket for Hannah and me to play with together (it is slightly to difficult for her to do by herself). When I came in the door with the rocket in the bag, I told Hannah I had a surprise for her. She was very excited about the rocket, and we quickly put some water in a cup and headed out the front door.
I figured I would show Hannah how it worked, then let her go crazy with it, however after a few minutes of fumbling around with the rocket and air pump we still had not had a lift-off. When I finally did get the rocket to launch, it was rather unremarkable. I tried a second time and was able to get the rocket to go a little higher, but only after about 10 minutes of messing around. The air pump was broken right out of the package, and would not put air into the rocket. Did I mention the rocket cost $4.99?
All the while I was fumbling around with the rocket, Hannah was just playing with the water. She was not taking notes about how to launch the rocket, since it would not launch. After I decided the rocket was broken, but before I told Hannah, she looked at me and said, "Daddy, I think this was not such a great surprise for me." I agreed, and we headed to the internet to buy one that works... Hopefully.

Reilly at "Play"
Reilly has not figured out that you slide down slides, not walk up them. Reilly, Hannah, and Daddy went to a local kids place called "Play" where Reilly only wanted to walk up this slide, but never could make it. Sorry for the thumb in the video, I am still getting used to my new iPhone and using it as my video camera. -Andrew
