Snow Day

Yesterday, we got about 2-3 inches of (very rare) snow! We had a blast playing in it yesterday and today. However, we are thankful that we don't live any farther north!

Reilly is NOT a fan of getting his hands dirty...especially when "dirty" is cold. (Don't worry, he now has a pair of gloves for the next predicted snow coming tomorrow.)

This would be our 3rd snowman. The first 2 crumpled. We're blaming the first two on an inexperienced snowman builder from LA (lower alabama). After the first 2 crumbled, Hannah suggested we build a "snow friend". Maybe that would be easier.

Pop's 70th birthday!

Pop recently celebrated his 70th birthday, but he didn't know about the party!

Hannah and Reilly didn't know about the party either, they would have given it away. They loved the cake!

The Reilly Dictionary

As a Mom, I am the translator. Reilly has developed his own language --some close to English--some not so close! The frustration between Andrew and Reilly can get to be pretty funny. Andrew will look at me and ask "WHAT DOES HE WANT???". Here's a little sampling:

hot-eat = sassy (pacifier)
nee-nee = blanket
pop-beep = puppy
nack-nack = snack
hi-ya or hey-ya = Hannah
moke = milk
deuce = juice
mote = remote
hew-woe = hello / phone
puts = poops
bash = bath
tuck = truck
whose = shoes
puw-woe = pillow
nap = napkin
tash = trash
nanna = banana
die-die = french fry
wa-wa = waffle
teef = toothbrush

mo = more
coe = cold
hot = hot
eat = eat now!

I'll get the video camera out and ask him to say these words on camera so we capture Reilly-ese! In the meantime, maybe Andrew can use this as reference for when I'm not around!!

Christmas 2009

I have to say this was the BEST Christmas we've had as a family! Hannah really understood the reason why we celebrate Christmas! It melted my heart to see her get SO VERY EXCITED about the baby Jesus! Reilly obviously doesn't understand why we celebrate yet, but he certainly enjoyed it nonetheless!! Here are several - long overdue - pictures from our Christmas celebration(s)!

Put Another Dime in the Diaper, Baby!

Last week while changing Reilly I found 2 nickels in his diaper. Thanks for the tip buddy, but next time you can just hand them to me!

Hannah's School Christmas Program was today. She is front a center this year (because she's so advanced we're sure :) ) She's come a long way from last year when she was on the back row pulling her dress over her head!

Santa Visit 2009

Reilly and Hannah went to visit Santa today. Reilly screamed his head off for the first couple minutes then warmed up to him. Hannah was very intrigued by him this year. She asked him where his reindeer were. Santa told her they were at the North Pole because it gets too warm in Georgia for them!
