Hannah loses her 3rd tooth, with a little help from Mom

Hannah lost her third tooth the other night (with a little help from Mom), here is the video to prove it.
(Double click to open in another window)

Hannah lost something

Hannah lost her third tooth a couple nights ago.  She showed us it was loose before dinner and she wiggled it all night before she went to bed.  At bedtime she tried to pull it out, but it wasn’t quite ready.  After about 20 minutes in bed, she came back down stairs saying it was ready to come out.  Mom wrapped the tooth with dental floss and yanked it out.  Hannah was so happy, but you could tell it hurt a little bit.  But thought of the tooth fair’s visit that night helped.
Soon after Mom took Hannah to the dentist for a regular check-up, and the dentist said “It is getting a little crowded in there, you might want to consider going to the orthodontist”.  What Daddy heard was “Hey, you better start saving some money, this tooth situation is going to cost you.”

Reilly getting big!

Reilly has gotten big, really big, recently.  He is no longer the little guy who follows his big sister around, he does his own thing more often now.  One of the things he likes to do is play hockey, with one of Dad’s old hockey gloves.  He sometimes plays with Hannah, and sometimes with Daddy.

He very much likes riding his bike, so much so that recently his training wheels blew out while he was riding.  We now have to decide to put training wheels back on or let him learn to ride without them…

Follow the leader...

Lately all three kids have been hanging out in the cul-de-sac riding bicycles and walking behind a walker (Sullivan only).  It is fun to watch them circle for hours; they really have a good time playing together.  It has been only recent that we let Sullivan walk behind his walker with the kids.  It makes a terrible noise, plastic wheels on rocky road, but Sullivan loves trying to be big like his brother and sister.

Just the boys...

After Hannah got on the bus for her first day of 1st Grade, it was just the boys left at home.  Reilly and Sullivan have been playing together at home without Hannah during the day.  Reilly loves pushing Sullivan in his stroller, but not really uphill back to the house.

Hannah's so big... Reilly too

Hannah took a minute to pose for her first day of First Grade.  Reilly hammed it up too.

Hannah is in first grade!

Another school year has started for Hannah, and this year she is in the first grade.  Everyone made the trip to the bus stop at 7:15AM on her first day of school.  Reilly woke up when Hannah did, and Sullivan didn’t want to be left out either. Everyone had fun at the bus stop, although Sullivan was a bit sleepy.  Hannah’s best friend Evan is at the same bus stop and Hannah and Evan re-created their “backpack pictures” from last year when they rode the bus for the first time.  Hannah told Daddy later that Evan is her boyfriend… Wow.

Sullivan's 15 month stats

Sullivan continues to make us laugh.  He is such a happy baby.. always smiling, laughing, pretending to be a big(ger) kid than he is!  He is not yet walking...although taking steps and getting around just fine without walking.  He goes so fast on his little walker, that I think actually walking would be a setback for him!  Today he is 16 months and I'm just now posting his 15 month stats.  Oops!

Weight - 20 lbs 2 oz (6%)
Height - 30 1/4 in (24%)
Head - 47.6 cm (63%)

This is a picture of him from the other day.  He is such a ham!

Hannah's 7 Year Stats

First of all, I can't believe my baby girl is 7(as of July 1)!!!!  Where has the time gone?  She is a beautiful, kind, sweet hearted, feisty, sometimes sassy, always fun, little big girl.

Weight - 50 lbs (45%)
Height - 45 3/4 in (12%)  (I'm not sure why they couldn't give the girl a break on the 1/4 inch!!)
BMI - 17 (75%)

Here's a pic of her from the other day. She's pointing to show that her training wheels are off!

Middle Name Confusion

In a conversation tonight about spelling and names we asked Reilly
what his middle name was. (I was sure he knew it as often as I use his
first/middle name combo when trying to get his attention). With an
uncertain smile on his face he said "Meatball"! We all laughed
hysterically because Meatball used to be his nickname!!

Kids at the beach

Stephanie took this great picture of our kids at the beach.  Can't wait for them to come home and see me!

Pink Cadillac

Ok, it isn’t a pink Cadillac, but it is as close as we get at Touch a Truck.

Safety First

When riding dirty (in the garbage truck), think safety first!

Who you gonna call?

A little bit of advertising, but still a great time.  This car has a working old school police siren AND they encourage the kids to turn it on.  It is very loud, even for me with my terrible hearing.

Bonnie and Clyde?

Bonnie and Clyde didn't get very far in the getaway car.

Our city puts on a very nice event for the local kids called “Touch a Truck”.  The city/county brings out all the emergency vehicles (not just trucks), and local businesses and residents bring out there vehicles for the kids to sit in and blow the horns, etc.  They blow the horns all day, so many horns… You would think the horns would be disabled, but they are not.

Reilly tried on the real fireman's hat while standing on the ladder from the Fireman's ladder truck.

Then he saw what it was like to ride in the back of an ambulance.
Sat in the front seat of a big truck...
All while Sullivan rode in the "stroller truck".
Hannah looked like a natural on the motor cycle.
As did Reilly.

Thanks to all the tolerant city employees for the use of their trucks.

Sullivan's first Happy Hour

Sullivan had his first Happy Hour, at least that is what Mommy called in on the invitation for the neighborhood friends.  Sullivan had lot of friends come over to hang out in the cul-de-sac and play for a while.  The adults had the Happy Hour drinks and the kids got bread and water.
Before Sullivan got to eat another cupcake, Mommy had to clean out his mouth just a little bit.
Now that he is good and mad, we put the cupcake really far away from him so he couldn't reach it.
 "I really want that cupcake."

"Ok, you can have it, but only after I get that cancel out of it." -Mommy
Now everyone can help you eat it.

Helpful siblings

Sullivan loved his presents, and his brother and sister loved opening them for him.

Everyoe loves Cupcakes!

Hannah and Reilly loved the cupcakes too!
