"Professional" Santa Pic

The "professional" Santa picture came in the mail today. We were pleased especially since they wouldn't let us preview it at the mall.

Hugs from Santa

Hannah met with Santa today to tell him what she wants for Christmas. Santa didn't seem to have a problem with what she asked for! Santa hugged Hannah (because she was the best kid of the day)!

Our Little Musician

So, recently Hannah has been filling our house with her lovely singing voice. I was listening to her on the monitor the other day sing the Auburn Fight Song. Her version goes something like this: "War Eagle fly down the field... NEVER conquer" [long pause] "Go GO GO!!" "Yeah Auburn" {we're trying to convert NEVER to EVER, but we're having trouble with our n's!}

In other news, The Itsy Bitsy Spider has some new lyrics. It goes like this: "The itsy bitsy spider climbed up the world so high like a diamond in the sky." I don't know about you, but I like this much better than the original.

We'll try to capture our little musician in action so you can hear it. You'll laugh all day!

It is very hard to see, but if you look to Hannah's right, you can see her normal shoes. Hannah's skates a slightly oversized.

Ice Skating

I just realized we never put pictures up of Hannah ice skating in all places, Lower Alabama! She did really well ice skating, with the help of her Daddy. After about an hour, she said "I want to take my ice skating off"!

More of Hannah feeding the gulls.

The story of this trip to the beach was Hannah feeding the sea gulls. Hannah got hungry and wanted to eat a snack. We had a bag of gold fish, but instead of eating them herself, she feed all of them to the sea gulls. She had a great time throwing the gold fish, although she generally did not throw them far enough for the gulls to get them.

Pregnancy Update

Momma has been doing very well through this pregnancy. The counter on the top right hand side of the page counts down to the due date.

Daddy and Hannah.

Sometimes it is easier to get Hannah to pose for a funny picture, than sit still for a quality family picture. This was one of those times.

The first thing I think of when I see this picture is "Touchdown Auburn!", but on this day it was "Ta Dah!" She learned how to perform Ta Dah! in dance class.

I am not sure why, but Momma encouraged Hannah to dig in the sand. She loves to play in the sand, and eat some too!

Hannah might look cold in this shot, but... Well she might be.

Hannah really wanted to get in the water today, but we explained to her that it is much too cold for us to get in. She still wanted to get in, but held back.

As the regular readers will recall, I like to occasionally remind the reader how small Hannah really is... You can see that in the picture, but you can also see how advanced she is too.

You can see Hannah's new red hair bow. Thanks for the new bow BeBe.

Every once in a while, Hannah would check to see if we were still following her. The boardwalk to about 1/4 mile, and Hannah ran just about the whole way out.

A day at the beach

Hannah spent some time on the beach today! Hannah, her mother, father, and photographer (all three of us) went back to Alabama Point to get some beach shots with Hannah again. The following are from her photo session.

Hannah was excited all morning about heading out to the beach, despite the somewhat cold weather. Hannah got ahead of her entourage on the boardwalk to the point.

Lions Tigers & Monkeys, Oh My!

So today, we took Hannah to the zoo at the beach. The advantage (or disadvantage) of going to a small zoo is that you are really UP CLOSE & PERSONAL with the animals. For instance, they had 4 baby tigers that they let you pet. They also had a 3 month old monkey that was out and about with the zoo manager. Hannah, ironically, had no problem petting the tigers. However, when the monkey jumped up on her head, she didn't much appreciate that. Enjoy these pictures. Thanks G for taking us to the zoo!

"Ta-Da"

Today was the last day of dance class. Don't worry, we signed her up for the next session that starts next week!

Hair

Look at how much hair I have now as opposed to how much hair I had a year ago!!

Special Treat at the Krispy Kreme

These are a couple shots of a rare trip to the Krispy Kreme. And no, it's not one of momma's cravings.

The Magic of Santa

Hannah, like every other kid in the world is starting to hone in that Christmas (Santa) is right around the corner. On Sunday, we took her to the mall. As we strolled through, she saw Santa and said "Santa!". I said that we would come back another day for her to sit in Santa's lap and tell him what she wanted for Christmas. She was ok with that.

Fast forward to tonight. After Hannah woke up from her nap, I told her that we needed to write a letter to Santa to tell him what she wants for Christmas and also to let him know where she will be on Christmas, so he'll deliver her toys to the right house. I explained to her that Santa was at the North Pole working with his elves making toys for all the boys and girls. She looked at me and said, "Momma, he's at the mall. I'll go get my shoes."

I laughed inside and said you're right, Santa is at the mall. Let's go see him.

Mystery Revealed

For those of you who haven't figured out the "hidden" message of the blog, Hannah will be a big sister around May 17th. Here's a picture of her meeting her new brother or sister. I heard her tell him/her that she's the boss and not to mess with her things. We'll see how that works out.

And just like that, the night was over. Hannah a great time, and was tired when we got home. She found some time to eat a couple treats, but when distracted, her bag of candy disappeared into some cabinet... Somewhere. "Hey look over there." Still works really well.

Another door, more candy, and still the doorbell was too high. Hannah opted for knocking on the door this time.

Hannah's visited one of her favorite babysitters on Halloween. Lauren and Hannah had a quality moment, the M&Ms helped.

Hannah is still short... Maybe next year she will be able to press all the door bells. Hannah runs to our front door and says, "Hannah make ding dong." You get the idea. Aunt Jillian is now pulling the wagon with a very tired and sleeping cousin Cecilia.

As you know already, Hannah trick or treated (is that how you say it?) as a Chef this year. Hannah walked the whole way, mostly holding hands with a neighborhood friend. As you can probably tell, she was the cutest child in the neighborhood. Momma did a great job finding a unique costume again this year. Good job Momma.

Last year Hannah had a sweet ride in "Daddy's" red wagon. It is Daddy's wagon, because he got it for his birthday. Anyway, this year Hannah's cousin Cecilia got to ride, and Hannah got to walk. Cecilia went as a caterpillar this year, the most colorful caterpillar ever. She looks like she is thrilled.

Hannah wanted to thank G and Pop again for her new Auburn Sippy Cups!

This is pretty much the finished product. Hannah did a great job, but Pop on the other hand... Everyone wanted to know how his was going to come out. I have to say, not as good as Hannah's. -Daddy

Sometimes the photographer feels the daggers coming through the camera viewfinder. -Management

Orange pumpkin, Orange colors, of course.

What do you do when your 2 year old wants to carve a pumpkin that is too small? You give her some colors and let her go crazy. Hannah got to color her pumpkin with G and Pop the day before Halloween. She got to do it without her shirt off because, while advanced, the concept of being clean has not yet been conveyed properly.
