Put Another Dime in the Diaper, Baby!

Last week while changing Reilly I found 2 nickels in his diaper. Thanks for the tip buddy, but next time you can just hand them to me!

I posted this on my facebook page and forgot to post this on our blogsite! A friend suggested that he may have eaten a dime! Ha!

Way Down in Bethlehem

Hannah's School Christmas Program was today. She is front a center this year (because she's so advanced we're sure :) ) She's come a long way from last year when she was on the back row pulling her dress over her head!

Santa Visit 2009

Reilly and Hannah went to visit Santa today. Reilly screamed his head off for the first couple minutes then warmed up to him. Hannah was very intrigued by him this year. She asked him where his reindeer were. Santa told her they were at the North Pole because it gets too warm in Georgia for them! Here are a couple pictures from the photo shoot....even included some outtakes!

Hey Lady, this man has a big furry beard and you just plopped me in his lap like I'm supposed to like this.

I'm gettin' the heck outta here. I bet I can run faster than him.

The sweetest moment. Captured!

Wait, now I feel like I'm getting left out.

Hey Mister, do you think I could climb back up and tell you what I want for Christmas? No way you're leaving toys for her and not me!

I guess I can fake it if it means I get toys!

Shirley Temple No More

This morning Hannah told her Daddy that she had a "Swirly Curly" to drink at dinner last night. I think "Swirly Curly" is a much more modern/catchy name for the Shirley Temple!

That is it for the guys night out.

It was past Reilly's bedtime and he was ready to head home. Reilly wanted to thank his god-father for joining us and slipping him a couple beers under the table... His mother never lets him drink, in public.

Great Staff!

Reilly was so impressed with the talent the staff displayed, he asked to get a picture with all of them. Reilly very much appreciates good help.

More Guys Night Out!

Gordon is Reilly's god-father, and he was able to join us to dinner and watching the game. I am certain that is what he was looking at in this picture, the game. No really, there are televisions on every wall.

Guys night out 2!

Reilly enjoyed watching the football game and eating at the theme restaurant. He felt that the restaurant was delightfully tacky, yet unrefined.

Guys night out!

Since the girls were out on the town, Reilly and Daddy decided to head out for a special guys night out. Here Reilly is enjoying a cool beverage from his favorite theme restaurant.

Girls night out!

Hannah and Stephanie planned a girls night out tonight. They headed out to the Fabulous Fox Theater to see the Rockettes tonight.

Nite Nite Kisses

It's always melts my heart when Reilly and Hannah tell each other good night. Tonight, we re-enacted it (thus losing some of the mushiness), but still captured some of their love for each other!

Hobo-Crow

Who needs a "Scarecrow" when you can have a "Hobo-Crow"? This thing scared away more than just the birds!

Youth Offender

Awww... Look how cute Hannah is posing with her baby doll.
Wait. Why are her hands tied behind her back?

Mommy: Hannah, why are your baby doll's hands tied?
Hannah: Oh, she's in jail.
Mommy: Why is she in jail?
Hannah: (without hesitation) She broke the chair.
Mommy: O...........K.............

Name that Tune

In the car today, we were listening to some "toddler tunes" as we do most days. Hannah says...Momma, I'm not really sure how she's "gonna ride 6 white horses".

I laughed and said "I'm not really sure either Hannah!"

Can you name that tune?

Letter of the Week

Every week, Hannah's class has a "letter of the week". Last week the letter was "L". We try to challenge Hannah throughout the week to think of words that start with the letter of the week. This week she came up with lipstick, lobster, ladybug, love, light, etc. On Saturday (the official last day of the letter L), Hannah's little face lights up and says "Momma, I thought of another word!" Oh yeah? "Liquor". I hesitate and say, um, yeah, you're right. Liquor does start with the letter "L". Just then, Daddy speaks up and asks her if she means licorice. [she had eaten a twizzler the night before] She says yes. And that's the story we're sticking to.

Happy Halloween

The "Good Witch"

Every "Good Witch" needs a puppy dog.

Every "Good Witch" needs a puppy dog and a pirate.

Every puppy dog needs a pumpkin bucket!

Hey, lemme see what I got in here.

Super Dad

I went out of town Saturday night and left Daddy with the 2 munchkins. I think that may have been the first time he's had both of them overnight by himself. Anyway, when I called to check on them on Sunday morning, Daddy told me that Hannah had woken up not feeling well. She looked really pale and said she felt like she was going to throw up. And she did. On the leather couch. Reilly woke up late...really late..around 10:45am only for Andrew to find that he had thrown up too. All over his crib. I asked Daddy if I needed to come home and he said "No, I can handle it."

So when I talked to Hannah and asked her if her tummy hurt, she said "No, Momma. I just threw up because I miss you." Awww. How sweet??

Thankfully they both were OK by noon. I guess it was something they both ate the night before.

I am so blessed to have a husband that will clean up throw up, the resulting laundry, and not complain. At all.

Last Ones to the Pumpkin Patch

So apparently we were the last ones to the pumpkin patch this year. We went to a local farm where you take a hayride out to pick out your own pumpkins. We were really excited about doing something different. Whelp, we go there only to find about 10 pumpkins in about a 10 acre field. It was quite funny, although the kids didn't know the difference. We may end up purchasing a Publix Pumpkin this year!! The good news is we did get a couple good pictures.

Halloween Carnival

Every year our neighborhood has a Halloween Carnival. The kids dress up in their Halloween costumes and enjoy the activities: Face Painting, Cotton Candy, Pony Rides, Jump House, Bean Bag Toss, Hay Ride, Popcorn, Hot dogs, Cookie decorating, Cake Walk, Clowns, etc. It's a WHOLE lot of fun! Makes ME want to be a kid again! You can't tell by what they're wearing, but Hannah is a good witch this year (her hat was quickly removed) and Reilly is a broom. (I had to take off the broom so he could play.)

(in a yankee accent) Yo, I'm eating my hotdog right now. Would you mind not taking my *expletive* picture right now?

(in yankee accent again) Just chillin' wit my homies, yo.

Four scores and seven years ago....

posing to show off that since she's a good witch she got a pretty flower on her face.

Being a ham.

Well, that's it folks!

Sleepy Boy

excuse the pink bib. the blue one was in the washing machine.

Nature Center

We went to the Nature Center today and the kids had a blast!
We checked out the "butterfly backpack" when we arrived. In the backpack, there were magnifying glasses, a "butterfly" dictionary, a bug jar, and some butterfly pictures and crayons. Hannah and her friend Knox had fun using the items in the backpack to make their experience more fun!

While there we saw tons of beautiful butterflies, owls, snakes, hawks, vultures, eagles, turtles, and a beaver.

Hello, I'm vertically challenged. Water please.

Hannah & Knox coloring their butterfly pictures on the lawn.

Reilly enjoying being out of the stroller!

They were given magnifying glasses to look at butterflies, bugs, etc.
They were looking at EVERYTHING through the magnifying glasses.

What else can I "examine"?

Learning about owls...screech owls, barred owls, barn owls, and the great horned owl.

Snack Snack!

Reilly is getting more and more vocal! Hint- "Snack Snack" means Reilly wants to eat. He says it a lot.

Someone got to stay up late!

Hannah stayed up late to watch some of the Auburn vs. Tennessee football game. She tried on Daddy's old Auburn helmet, but did not much care for it, after 10 years it was still a bit sweaty. -Daddy

Aubie and Reilly

Remember last year when Reilly had no qualms with Aubie holding him? Well, those days are over.
