The Love of a Child
"Daddy, I love you more than anything. Except Christmas." - Hannah, age 5
Daddy found some classic footage on an old computer that was never published on this site, at least I don't think it was. I thought I would share it with everyone. -Daddy
Hannah ran the obstacle course before Auburn beat down the University of South Carolina in the SEC championship game!

On November 17th, Reilly turned 2 1/2! Here are his stats:
Weight - 31 lbs 12 oz (71%)
Height - 35 1/2 in (32%)
Head - 50.6 cm (81%)
Big, Big Boy!!
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving week visiting lots of family! During the trip, we were able to get both sides of the family together (that were in town) for a family dinner.
As we are clearing the dinner plates and getting out the dessert plates, Reilly asks when he's going to get to blow out the candles. I giggled and asked him if it was his birthday!
His response - "Uh, Yeah!"
So we've officially hit the terrible 2 age with Reilly. A couple weeks ago, he was pitching a fit and I put him in his bed for a little cooling off period. I took this opportunity to say a little Hail Mary for her to help me be a good mother in this situation. Hannah questioned what I was doing. I said that I was asking Mary, Jesus' mommy, to help me. We prayed it together and after the prayer was over, Hannah asked "Is she here yet?"
Hannah is grilled over her actions this morning, Mommy and Daddy laugh about it (behind her back).- Daddy

After picking Hannah up from her Good Shepherd class this past Sunday, I asked her what she learned about. As we're walking down the hall, she says "Nozark". Huh? Did you say Mozart (I was really confused for a second as to why they would be learning about Mozart at a church class??). She then turned around and looked at me and said "NO, NOZARK Mom! You know the guy that built the boat."!
Ahhh... Noah's Arc!
My high school soccer coach used to get made at us when we all ran to the ball. He called it the flies to crap theory... You can see why here.
NOTE- Hannah is on the green team, and is the only one with a box in her hair.

We all went to Hannah's BFF's house (Evan) for a little Halloween party. Evan is a Zombie Astronaut and he is the best one we saw that night.
As you can see, Reilly is starting his night FULL of eating candy. He rode around in the wagon most of the night eating lollipops and any other candy he could get his hands on without us watching.
Reilly (wearing Toy Story underwear) announces to his father:
"Daddy, I have Woody in my underpants!"
Hannah and Reilly are getting excited about Halloween tonight! Reilly is still resting, but Hannah is already asking to put on her costume. She will be Strawberry Shortcake and Reilly is going to be Mighty Mouse!
Yesterday I reminded Hannah that she would get to wear her Halloween costume to school today. She responded, "Yeah, but my teacher said we couldn't bring any webkinz.". Uhhh... ok....that shouldn't be a problem.
Then I remembered reading an email from the teacher that said the children were not to bring any "weapons" to school that coordinated with their costumes. I chuckled and told Hannah that the teacher meant for them not to bring weapons. "What are weapons, Momma?"
I love her innocence!
Hannah had her very first soccer game yesterday. Although she didn't score, she tried really hard! She was a team player and had a lot of FUN! If you've never been to a 4-5 year old soccer game, I highly recommend it. It's VERY entertaining!
So yesterday I was combing through my hair only to notice some gray hair. "Oh no" I said out loud only for Hannah to overhear me.
What is it Momma? Oh, nothing, I just found some gray hair. "Oh", she says matter of factly, "that's from Reilly and Daddy".
As always, she's the innocent bystander :)
This past weekend, Hannah filled up her "marble jar". (she gets a marble for doing chores without being asked and for helping out when she sees that something needs to be done). As a reward, she and I had a girls day out! We went to the movies (Shrek) and then to a 'girly' place for lunch.
One of the activities Momma planned for the party was for each kid to make their own cup-cake creation. Even LeighAnn got into the act (Ginny and Al's mother). Reilly went the other direction and just put a block on fondant on the top of his cup-cake. He later decided it didn't taste very good and spit it out (I don't balme him). Everyone got creative with their cup-cakes (Daddy stayed behind the camera).
Loyal readers will think Hannah's birthday hat is familiar. To date she has worn the same hat (that Momma made) for five birthday "seasons" (there is always more than one party per year). This year was the first year the hat had to be repaired, however it was a minor repair. To our surprise, Hannah wore that hat the entire party... for the first time.
