Water Rocket!

Yesterday, I thought it would be fun to bring home a water rocket for Hannah and me to play with together (it is slightly to difficult for her to do by herself). When I came in the door with the rocket in the bag, I told Hannah I had a surprise for her. She was very excited about the rocket, and we quickly put some water in a cup and headed out the front door.
I figured I would show Hannah how it worked, then let her go crazy with it, however after a few minutes of fumbling around with the rocket and air pump we still had not had a lift-off. When I finally did get the rocket to launch, it was rather unremarkable. I tried a second time and was able to get the rocket to go a little higher, but only after about 10 minutes of messing around. The air pump was broken right out of the package, and would not put air into the rocket. Did I mention the rocket cost $4.99?
All the while I was fumbling around with the rocket, Hannah was just playing with the water. She was not taking notes about how to launch the rocket, since it would not launch. After I decided the rocket was broken, but before I told Hannah, she looked at me and said, "Daddy, I think this was not such a great surprise for me." I agreed, and we headed to the internet to buy one that works... Hopefully.

Reilly at "Play"

Reilly has not figured out that you slide down slides, not walk up them. Reilly, Hannah, and Daddy went to a local kids place called "Play" where Reilly only wanted to walk up this slide, but never could make it. Sorry for the thumb in the video, I am still getting used to my new iPhone and using it as my video camera. -Andrew

Reilly's new hat.

Reilly got a new hat last night. It is hard to see here, but it has a cute little tiger on it. If you ask him how a tiger goes, he will growl at you! -Andrew

Shattered

"This is why we can not have nice things." Ever heard that one? I did as a kid, and now I am understanding the saying. While Hannah broke the glass, the picture was next to her bookcase, and she dropped a book on it. We really can't blame her for it, but I still like the saying. -Andrew

God Fixes Chairs

This morning I was trying to fix the ottoman in Reilly's room. Hannah was roaming about as she usually does. I was starting to get frustrated because I couldn't figure out how to fix it. Hannah speaks up and says:

H - "Momma, don't worry. I'll ask God to help you."
S - "Oh, Thanks Hannah. I could use His help."
H - "OK. He's on His way! He's on His Way!"
S - (still battling with the chair) "Thanks. Good to know."
H - "He's Here Momma, He's Here!" (as she jumps up and down and all around!)

Miraculously, just then the chair was fixed. I love that my little one has faith in God already! I want her to always have that enthusiasm for Him!

Reilly gets his teeth brushed for the first time.

First Tube Ride

While on our beach trip a couple weeks ago, Hannah went on her first tube ride. I'm not sure she thoroughly enjoyed it. When asked if she wanted to do it again, she quickly said "NO".

Kid Kountry Karousel

While at the beach, we went to the local "Kid Kountry". It was actually pretty fun for the kids. The carousel ride was one of the favorites!

"Hey, make sure you get me in the picture!"

Cousin Brooke = Happy Reilly

Have I mentioned lately how much I LOVE my cousin, Brooke? She lives in Pennsylvania so I don't get to see her often. I hope I get to see her again before she goes back home!

Paint Anyone?

This is what happens when the Mexican Restaurant decides to "decorate" their balloons with some sort of paint. Thanks!

This would be the SECOND time this week that he got into paint. The other time was when he decided to eat a blue watercolor tablet out of the Crayola set. He came to me with an ELECTRIC blue mouth. I first thought it was an electrasol tablet he had eaten. I wish I had gotten a picture, but I thought it was more important that he didn't die!

Soccer Camp

This week Hannah attended a British Soccer Camp. I'd like to say we flew her to Britain to attend this exclusive camp, but I cannot. It was about 2 minutes from our house. They did an excellent job with a slew of "mind-of-their-own" 3-4 year olds. They would play games with them...very entertaining to watch. One day they played "Fox and the Hound". The "foxes" tucked flags in their pants and the "hounds" ran around to try to pull the flags out of their pants. Hannah had the grand idea to stuff the flag all the way down her pants so the "hounds" couldn't get it. She tried to talk the others into doing the same. They didn't listen (thank goodness). Coach Waggy went running after her asking where her flag was. She giggled. He saw what she had done and told her she was very sneaky.

Hannah had a great time!

Um, does this mean I'm going to mess up my hair?

Yeah, that's what I thought. I guess I'll play anyway.

Cecilia's Birthday Weekend

We traveled to Alabama this weekend for Cecilia's 2nd birthday! Anytime you get three children under the age of 4 together, you have your hands full!

Picture time is almost impossible, but we managed a couple that were passable.

Reilly's 2nd carousel ride. The first one wasn't captured because I was without my personal photographer.

Hannah and BB.

BB sure does spoil her grandchildren (and children)!

Jillian & Cecilia

At Cracker Barrel trying to get a photo of all the kids in matching outfits. I would give the photo shoot a D+

Um, lady, we would rather not have our picture taken right now. We're ready to E-A-T!

Ok, this is the best you can have if you're not going to feed us yet.
Reilly, "Did you say we were going to eat. I'll give you a smile!"

Yay! My first Auburn HAT!

Here, I'll pose for you!

Passed out cold after a super fun weekend! Thanks Jillian & Charles!

Hannah "floating" in 4 inches of water!

I gotta surprise in my pants for you!

"Hey, Whatchu Lookin' At, Lady? I know my belly's hangin' out.
You gotta problem wit dat?"

Check out my crabby pants and my rat tail.

More PhotoShoot pics

I just realized I had some more pictures from the photoshoot of Reilly! Enjoy!

Ridin' Forward

Reilly absolutely LOVES ridin' forward in the car. It's nice to see where you're going instead of where you've been!

Only Picture

Sadly, this is the only picture taken on our trip to the beach last week. We were 2 hours into our trip stopped at Ruby Tuesday. Hannah jumped in BB's lap and said, "Hey Mom, Take our Picture. Cuz we're cute!". We should have taken a picture at the end of our 8 our trip (that is supposed to take 5!). We weren't looking so cute then.

I LOVE my Papa! Can't wait to see you again!! Go ahead and start stocking up on groceries! now!

True Colors

Here is Hannah showing her true colors during the ballet recital...

So I did the next best thing and got a picture with her twin!

More cake...

...And his face. Daddy even got in on that action.

Let's eat some cake...

...With both hands...

I teased with the pictures of Reilly being very mad, but after he actually tasted the cake, he forgot about the party hat bugging him, and started to chow down on that cake.
